اولاً	First
–       Hi. How are you this morning?
–       مرحباً. كيف حالك هذا الصباحِ؟
–       I’m fine, thanks.
–       انا بخير اشكرك .
–       Are you enjoying your holiday?
–       هل تستمتع بعطلتك ؟
–       Yes, I’m having a great time. But my wife’s not feeling very well.
–       نعم امضي وقت رائع لكن زوجتَي لا تَشْعرُ بصحة تامة.
–       What’s wrong with her?
–       ما خطبها ؟
–       She’s got a bad headache
–       عندها صداع سيىء .
–       Too much sun I guess.
–       اعتقد انها تعرضت للشمس كثيراً.
ثانياً	Second
–       Excuse me, can you help me? Do you understand Greek?
–       المعذرة , هل تستطيع ان تساعديني ؟ هل تفهمين اللغة اليونانية ؟
–       No, I’m sorry I don’t. I only speak English and a little French.
–       كلا لا اعرف اسفة . –       اتكلم فقط اللغة الانكليزية والقليل من اللغة الفرنسية .
–       What’s the problem?
–       ما المشكلة ؟
–       I can’t read this menu.
–       لا استطيع قراءة هذه القائمة .
–       Why don’t you ask that waiter over there? He speaks English.
–       لم لا تسئل ذلك النادل هناك ؟ هو يتكلم الانكليزية .
ثالثاً	Third
–       What do you do in the evening?
–       ماذا تفعلين في المساء ؟
–       I usually go to one of the clubs.
–       عادة اذهب الى احد النوادي .
–       What are you doing this evening?
–       ماذا ستفعلين هذا المساء ؟
–       I don’t know. I’m meeting some friends. Do you want to join us?
–       لا اعرف , اقابل بعض الاصدقاء . هل تريد ان تنضم الينا ؟
–       Yes, why not. What’s your name?
–       نعم , لما لا , ما اسمك ؟
–       My name is Ulrike.
–       اسمي أولريك.

الهدية	The present
–       Hello sir, can I help you?
–       مرحباً سيدي , هل استطيع مساعدتك ؟
–       I would like to buy a dressing gown.
–       اود شراء رداء .
–       Is it for yourself?
–       هل الرداء لك ؟
–       No, it’s for my father.
–       كلا , انه لوالدي .
–       How about this one, over here, is pure silk?
–       مارأيك بذالك الرداء , الحرير الصافي ؟
–       I would prefer something in cotton.
–       افضل شي من القطن .
–       Ok, we have this one here in pure cotton, it is very comfortable.
–       حسناً , لدينا واحد من القطن الصافي , مريح جداً .

–       It costs £75. Shall I wrap it up as a present?
–       يكلف 75 باوند . هل اغلفهُ كهدية ؟
–       Yes, please.
–       نعم , من فضلك .

هل لي ان اتكلم مع ....	May I speak to ....
–       Good morning. My name is Andrew Millen. May I speak to Mr Johansson, please?
–       صباح الخير. اسمي أندرو ميلين. هَلْ لي أَنْ اتكلّمُ مع السّيدِ يوهانسون، رجاءً؟
–       Good morning, Mr Millen. I’m sorry but Mr Johansson isn’t here today. Can I take a message?
–       صباح الخير، سّيد ميلين. أَنا آسفُة لكن السّيدَ يوهانسون لَيسَ هنا اليوم. هَلّ بالإمكان أَنْ آخذُ رسالةً؟
–       Yes, please. Can you ask him to phone me in Malmö, please?
–       نعم رجاءً , هل تستطيعين ان تطلبي منه ان يتصل بي في مالمو , رجاءً ؟
–       Certainly. Has he got your telephone number?
–       بالتأكيد , هل لديه رقم هاتفك ؟
–       The number for Malmö is 040 And my number is 29 45 66.
–       الرقم لمالمو هو 040 ورقمي هو 294566 .
–       Can you spell Malmö, please?
–       هَلّ بالإمكان أَنْ تَتهجّى مالمو؟ ، رجاءً؟
–       Yes, it is M-A-L-M-Ö.
–       نعم , م , ا , ل , م , و .
–       Thank you, Mr Millen. Mr Johansson can phone you tomorrow.
–       شكراً , سيد ميلن . السيد يوهانسون يستطيع ان يتصل بك غداً .

المحطة	The Station
–       Excuse me ,  how do I get to the station, please?
–       المعذرة , كيف اصل الى المحطة من فضلك ؟
–       Take the first road to the right.
–       خذ الطريق الاول على جهة اليمين .
–       The first road to the right?
–       الطريق الاول على جهة اليمين ؟
–       Yes, the first to the right. Then continue straight on until you get to the theatre.
–       نعم , الطريق الاول على جهة اليمين . ثم استمر الى الامام الى ان تصل الى المسرح .
–       Straight ahead until I get to the theatre?
–       استمر الى الامام الى ان اصل الى المسرح ؟
–       Yes, straight ahead until you get to the theatre. There, turn left just after the lights.
–       نعم , استمر الى الامام الى ان تصل الى المسرح . هناك انعطف الى اليسار بعد اشارة المرور .
–       I turn left after the lights.

–       Yes, and the station is to the right.
–       نعم , المحطة على جهة اليمين .
–       And the station is to the right! Is it far?
–       و المحطة على جهة اليمين ! هل هي بعيدة ؟

حواراتِ	Dialogues
هَلّ بالإمكان أَنْ أُحدّدُ موعداً؟	Can I make an appointment?
Gerry’s not feeling very well, so he phones the doctor’s surgery.
جيري لا يَشْعرُ بحالة جيدة ، لذا اتصل بعيادةَ الطبيب .
RECEPTIONIST:  Surgery. Good morning.
موظفة الاستعلامات : العيادة . صباح الخير .
Gerry:  Good morning. Can I make an appointment             to see the doctor today?
جيري : صباح الخير . هل بالامكان ان         احدد موعد لرؤية الدكتور اليوم .
RECEPTIONIST:  We’re very busy this morning,                            I’m afraid. May I ask what the problem is?
موظفة الاستعلامات : اخشى اننا منشغلين جداً هذا الصباح                        هل لي ان اسئل ما المشكلة ؟
Gerry:  I’ve got a bad cold. Do you think I could             see one of the doctors just for five minutes?
جيري : اصبتُ بزكام سيئ , هل تعتقدين           انني استطيع ان ارى احد الاطباء لخمس دقائق فقط ؟
RECEPTIONIST:  Hold on a moment … yes,                           Dr Smith is free at ten – will that do?
موظفة الاستعلامات : انتطر لحظة ... نعم                        دكتور سميث ليس مشغول عند الساعة العاشرة – هل يناسبك ذلك ؟
Gerry:  Great. Thanks a lot.
جيري : ممتاز . اشكرك كثيراً .
RECEPTIONIST:  Not at all. See you at ten.
موظفة الاستعلامات : لا شكر على واجب . ارك عند العاشرة .
Gerry:  Bye.
جيري : وداعاً .
